In 1835 the schooner Enterprize tied up on the Yarra near today’s Enterprize Park, and the settlement that became Melbourne began. Follow the river west past the old Customs House, now the Immigration Museum, to the reinvented docks.

- Start at Enterprize Park on Flinders Street, a short walk from Flinders Street or Southern Cross stations.

- About 3 hours, 3 km on foot (2 h 20 min at the stops)

- Free, except entry to the Immigration Museum

- Any day; the library has good weekend hours.

Tips
- Trams through the CBD and much of Docklands are free, but check the zone map near its edges.
